2. Acceptance of Terms
By using the website, submitting an enquiry, making a booking, paying a deposit or signing a rental agreement, the customer confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms of Use and Rental, the Cancellation Policy and the Privacy Policy.
The specific terms stated in the relevant booking or rental agreement, including the total rental price, any security deposit, additional contractual damage coverage, mileage limit, pick-up and return location or any specific written agreement, shall prevail over these general terms where they have been recorded in writing or approved by the company.
In the event of any discrepancy between an online booking and the final signed rental agreement, the final signed rental agreement shall prevail.
Verbal exceptions, amendments or agreements shall not bind the company unless confirmed in writing.
3. Website Use and Online Bookings
The website provides information regarding vehicles, availability, services, delivery locations and online booking options. Submission of a booking does not necessarily constitute final acceptance until it has been confirmed by the company or by the booking system.
- Prices, availability and terms may vary depending on the rental period, vehicle, duration and delivery location.
- The company may contact the customer to confirm personal details, payment, documentation or availability.
- The company may refuse or cancel a booking if the customer does not meet the rental requirements or fails to provide the required documents.
4. Drivers, Age and Driving Licence
The vehicle may only be driven by the main driver and any additional drivers who have been declared and approved by the company.
- The driver must hold a valid driving licence appropriate for the category of vehicle being rented.
- As a general minimum requirement, the driver must be at least 23 years old and must have held a valid driving licence for at least 12 months.
- If a particular vehicle is subject to a higher minimum age or longer licence-holding requirement, the stricter requirement shall apply.
- An additional driver may only drive the vehicle if they have been declared and approved before driving.
For driving licences issued outside the European Union, the driver may be required to provide a passport, an International Driving Permit or an official translation, as well as a visa or entry stamp where required.
5. Vehicle Pick-Up and Return
At pick-up, the customer must inspect the condition of the vehicle, mileage, fuel level, tyres, windows, interior, keys, documents and equipment. Any damage or observations must be recorded before departure.
On return, the company has the right to inspect the vehicle and record any damage, wear, missing items, excessive dirt, fuel discrepancies, fines, tolls or charges incurred during the rental period or notified at a later date.
The condition of the vehicle at pick-up and return may be documented using photographs and/or video. Such material may be used as evidence regarding the condition of the vehicle, damage or wear, mileage, fuel level and equipment.
6. Use of the Vehicle
The vehicle must be used legally, safely and normally, in accordance with applicable road traffic laws, the rental agreement and the company's instructions.
- Use of the vehicle by an undeclared or unapproved driver is prohibited.
- Subletting, lending, transferring or otherwise allowing a third party to use the vehicle is prohibited.
- Use of the vehicle for racing, drifting, speed testing, exhibitions, towing or driving instruction is prohibited.
- Use for taxi services, delivery, courier work, commercial transport or transportation of passengers or goods for payment is prohibited without prior written approval.
- The number of passengers must not exceed the approved seating capacity of the vehicle.
- Transport of dangerous, illegal, excessively heavy, flammable, foul-smelling or unsuitable goods is prohibited.
7. Area of Use, Travel Abroad, Ferry and Beaches
The vehicle may only be used within Greece unless prior written permission has been granted by the company and any necessary insurance or accompanying documentation has been checked.
- Travel to Albania is prohibited unless specifically agreed in writing before vehicle pick-up.
- Transportation of the vehicle by ferry is permitted only with prior written approval from the company.
- Driving on unpaved roads, beaches, sand, difficult terrain or off-road routes is prohibited.
- Any damage, cleaning costs, recovery, towing or loss of use arising from such use shall be borne by the renter.
8. Fuel, Mileage and Incorrect Fuel
The vehicle must be returned with the same or a higher fuel level than the level recorded at delivery. If it is returned with less fuel, the customer will be charged for the missing fuel plus a €15 service fee.
No refund or compensation is provided for excess fuel remaining in the vehicle on return.
The customer must use the correct type of fuel. In the event of incorrect fuelling, the customer shall be responsible for all related costs, including fuel removal, cleaning of the fuel system, filters, fuel pump, injectors, mechanical damage, roadside assistance, transportation and vehicle downtime.
The mileage limit stated in the rental agreement or booking shall apply. If no mileage limit is stated, no specific mileage restriction shall apply. Where an agreed limit is exceeded, the additional mileage charge stated in the rental agreement shall apply.
9. Late Return and Rental Extension
The vehicle must be returned at the agreed location and time. A grace period of up to 29 minutes applies after the agreed return time. Once 29 minutes have elapsed, and unless an extension has been approved by the company, an additional rental day may be charged.
Extension of the rental period is only permitted with prior approval from the company. If no extension is approved, failure to return the vehicle shall be considered a late return and additional charges may apply.
10. Payments, Advance Payments and Security Deposit
The customer must pay the agreed rental price, any advance payment, any security deposit where expressly stated in the relevant rental agreement, and any other charges stated in the agreement or arising from use of the vehicle.
A security deposit is payable only where it is specifically provided for and expressly stated in the relevant rental agreement. Where a security deposit has been agreed, it may be applied or offset against amounts due for damage, fuel, cleaning, fines, tolls, parking charges, late return, vehicle downtime, lost keys, documents, equipment or any other amount due.
The existence of a security deposit does not limit the customer's liability to the amount of the deposit. Where charges or losses exceed the deposit, the customer remains responsible for the difference.
11. Fines, Tolls, Parking and Third-Party Charges
The customer is responsible for any traffic fine, road traffic violation, parking charge, toll, speed camera charge, municipal charge or other charge arising during the rental period.
If such a charge is notified to the company after the rental has ended, the company reserves the right to charge the relevant amount to the customer retrospectively, together with a reasonable administration fee where applicable.
12. Cleanliness, Smoking, Pets and Equipment
Smoking and the use of any tobacco product, heated tobacco product, electronic cigarette or vaping device inside the vehicle are strictly prohibited. The transportation or presence of pets or other animals inside the vehicle is also strictly prohibited.
If the vehicle is returned with excessive dirt, sand, mud, animal hair, stains, odours, signs of smoking or in a condition requiring specialist or biological cleaning, the related cost shall be charged to the customer.
The customer must return all keys, documents, remote controls and equipment supplied with the vehicle, including where applicable a spare wheel or tyre repair kit, warning triangle, first-aid kit, fire extinguisher, reflective vest, child seat, snow chains, charging cable or any other additional equipment.
13. Damage, Accident or Other Incident
In the event of damage, an accident, broken glass, theft, fire, breakdown or any other incident involving the vehicle, the customer must immediately inform the company and follow its instructions.
- Where required, accident assistance and/or the police must be contacted.
- The customer must not leave the scene of the incident.
- The customer must not admit liability or enter into any private settlement without the company's approval.
- The customer must not repair, move or hand the vehicle over to a third party without prior notification and approval from the company, except where necessary due to an immediate safety risk.
If the customer fails to comply with these obligations and the insurer refuses or limits any applicable insurance payment, the resulting damage, charge or shortfall may be borne by the customer.
14. Vehicles Without Additional Contractual Damage Coverage
Where a vehicle is rented without additional contractual damage coverage, there is no contractual limit on the customer's financial liability for damage to the rented vehicle.
Compulsory third-party liability insurance is separate from the customer's liability for damage to the rented vehicle and does not constitute additional contractual coverage for damage to the rental vehicle itself.
Where no additional contractual damage coverage has been agreed, the customer may be liable for the full actual cost of damage, wear, losses and other charges for which they are responsible under the rental agreement and these terms.
This may include, without limitation, exterior, interior, mechanical, electrical, bodywork, paintwork, cosmetic or functional damage, loss or deterioration of the vehicle or its equipment. This may include damage to tyres, wheels, the underside of the vehicle, bumpers, doors, wings, mirrors, lights, glass, roof, bonnet, boot, paintwork, interior trim, seats, dashboard, carpets, upholstery, keys, remote controls, documents, accessories and additional equipment, as well as damage resulting from incorrect fuel, use on beaches, sand, unpaved roads or off-road routes, use by an undeclared driver, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, traffic violations or any other use contrary to the rental terms.
In the event of incorrect fuelling, the customer may be charged for fuel removal, cleaning of the fuel system, filters, pump, injectors, mechanical repairs, labour, roadside assistance, transportation and vehicle downtime where the vehicle cannot be rented.
The cost of damage may be calculated on the basis of an invoice or receipt from a repair workshop, body shop or supplier, a documented estimate from a workshop or expert assessor, or a reasonable and documented estimate prepared by the company. The calculation may include the cost of parts, labour, materials, paintwork, bodywork, electrical or mechanical work, transportation, towing, diagnostics or other related work. The company is not required to have completed the repair before calculating or claiming the cost of the damage, provided that the amount is reasonably and adequately documented.
If the vehicle cannot be used or rented due to damage, loss, an accident or another incident for which the customer is responsible, the customer may also be charged for the actual period of vehicle downtime / loss of use. The charge for each day of vehicle downtime or loss of use is calculated on the basis of the daily rental rate applied by the company for the specific vehicle during the relevant period or, where this is not possible, for a vehicle of an equivalent category. The applicable daily rental rate may be documented by the company's price list, booking system or other available pricing records. Downtime shall be calculated until the vehicle has been repaired, inspected and made available for rental again and may include reasonable waiting time for spare parts, a repair workshop or body shop.
In the event of serious damage, the customer may also be charged for any proven reduction in the vehicle's market value, in addition to repair costs and downtime. Such reduction may be documented by an expert assessor or another suitable professional, or by a reasonable and documented assessment prepared by the company, where permitted by applicable law.
Any payment made by an insurance company in relation to a particular incident does not automatically alter the customer's contractual obligations or create an automatic right of set-off, unless expressly provided for in the relevant rental agreement or required by applicable law. In all cases, the total amount collected in respect of the same actual loss shall not exceed the actual and documented cost of that loss.
For vehicles without specific theft coverage, in the event of theft, attempted theft, loss, disappearance or failure to return the vehicle, the customer may be liable for the value of the vehicle, damage, loss of use and any related charges, subject to the rental agreement, the circumstances of the incident and applicable law.
The customer must take reasonable steps to protect the vehicle against theft, loss or damage, keep it locked, avoid leaving keys, remote controls or documents inside or on the vehicle, and immediately notify the company and the competent authorities in the event of theft, loss, accident or damage.
15. Additional Contractual Damage Coverage
Where the final signed rental agreement states that the vehicle is provided with additional contractual damage coverage, the specific terms, limits, exclusions, any excess and any activation threshold stated in or incorporated into that signed agreement shall apply.
The company may offer different types of additional contractual damage coverage. The existence of such coverage does not mean that all types of damage or all incidents are covered. Exclusions may include, among other things, tyres, wheels, the underside of the vehicle, the interior, incorrect fuel, keys, documents, cleaning costs, fines, alcohol, drugs, undeclared drivers, illegal or prohibited use or failure to follow the required accident procedure, always subject to the specific terms of the relevant coverage.
Theft, attempted theft, loss, disappearance or failure to return the vehicle are not automatically included in additional contractual damage coverage and are only covered where this is expressly stated in the final signed rental agreement.
Vehicle downtime / loss-of-use charges are not automatically included in additional contractual damage coverage or within any excess amount and may be charged separately where the incident is the responsibility of the customer.
16. Breakdown and Replacement Vehicle
If the vehicle becomes immobilised due to a breakdown that was not caused by fault, negligence, misuse or breach of the rental terms by the customer or an authorised driver, the company will make reasonable efforts to provide a replacement vehicle, subject to availability, location, timing and the actual circumstances.
If a vehicle of an equivalent or higher category is available, it may be provided as a replacement without any additional charge for the remainder of the rental period. If only a vehicle of a lower category is available and the customer accepts it, the customer will be refunded the proportional price difference corresponding to the remaining rental days.
If no replacement vehicle is available, the customer will be refunded the amount corresponding to the remaining unused rental days, provided that the inability to use the vehicle was not caused by the customer.
In the above circumstances, the company's financial obligation is limited to providing a replacement vehicle or, where this is not possible, issuing the applicable refund. The company does not assume responsibility for additional expenses or indirect losses arising from the vehicle becoming unavailable, including, for example, taxi costs, hotel expenses, tickets, additional transport expenses or loss of holiday time, unless otherwise required by mandatory applicable law.
If the breakdown, damage or immobilisation results from fault, negligence, misuse, incorrect fuel, a traffic violation, use on prohibited roads or any other breach of these terms, the company is not required to provide a free replacement vehicle or refund unused rental days, and the customer may be responsible for all related costs.
17. Cancellation, No-Show and Booking Changes
Cancellations, no-shows, booking amendments, refunds and any applicable retained amounts are governed by the company's Cancellation Policy.
You can read the Cancellation Policy here: Cancellation Policy.
18. Personal Data
The collection and processing of personal data relating to customers, drivers and website visitors is carried out in accordance with the company's Privacy Policy. Where necessary and lawful, this may include driver information, rental agreement details, photographs or video of the vehicle's condition and data generated by a vehicle tracking / GPS / tracker system.
You can read the Privacy Policy here: Privacy Policy.
19. Vehicle Tracking / GPS / Tracker
The vehicle may be equipped with a tracking system, GPS, tracker or other technical system used for vehicle protection and fleet management.
Such systems may be used where necessary for vehicle security and protection, locating the vehicle in the event of theft, loss or failure to return it, managing accidents or breakdowns, providing roadside assistance, documenting serious breaches of the rental terms or protecting the company's legitimate interests. They are not used for continuous or unnecessary monitoring of the customer.
Location data or technical vehicle data may be used as evidence in cases involving theft, loss, failure to return the vehicle, accidents, damage, violation of the permitted area of use or another related dispute.
20. Photographs and Video of Vehicle Condition
The company may take and retain photographs or video of the vehicle at pick-up and/or return for the purpose of documenting the condition of the vehicle, mileage, fuel level, equipment and any damage, wear or excessive dirt.
Such material may be used as evidence in relation to damage, wear, dirt, fuel discrepancies, missing equipment or any other dispute connected with the rental.
21. Electronic Acceptance, PDF and Signature
A booking, acceptance of terms, electronic signature, PDF transmission or submission of information by email or other electronic means may be used as evidence of the agreement and acceptance of the applicable terms.
The company may request a handwritten signature where it considers this necessary.
22. Personal Belongings
The company is not responsible for the loss, theft or damage of personal belongings left inside the vehicle or on the company's premises. Where personal belongings are found after the rental, the company will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer and arrange their return.
23. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and every rental agreement are governed by Greek law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter amicably. If this is not possible, the competent courts shall be determined in accordance with applicable law, with Igoumenitsa as the place of reference where legally permitted.
24. Amendments to These Terms
The company may amend these terms from time to time in order to reflect changes in its operations, applicable law, services, insurance arrangements, contractual coverage or the website.
The current version of these terms will always be published on this page.
